The inscription reads "J. & A. Tillman, Sep. 30, 1874, San Francisco, Cala." So, who is the "J."? Is it someone who is with A. Tillman or did he just remember that he has another initial to his name? The third and last Tillman inscription is at the very northern end of Black Canyon and we'll be checking it out on a future trip.
