East of Opal Mountain

There's nothing like heading off on a desert adventure! (58kb) Looking west at Opal Mountain and its distinctive markings. (83kb) We came across a baby tortoise shell surrounded by scat. (128kb) Sadly, this one didn't make it. (56kb) On a happier note, we did find Coyote Gulch and its petroglyphs. (148kb)
A closer look. (125kb) Looking down at the junction of Murphy's Well Road and Coyote Gulch. (103kb) To the prehistoric Indian, Coyote Gulch provided an alternate route to the Inscription Canyon area. (127kb) Higher up on the hill is the best petroglyph panel. (131kb) 10.jpg (142kb)
