Fish Creek Wash to Sandstone

This December day trip began at Ocotillo Wells.  Just follow Split Mountain Road south until you turn off into Fish Creek Wash.  From there you simply twist and turn through some spectacular scenery as you head steadily west to Sandstone Canyon, considered one of the finest slot canyons anywhere.  We made stops to explore the mud hills and the petrified wood area of Blackwood Basin.  Some of our photos can be seen via the link below.
