After a balmy night and colorful sunrise, we reluctantly left Ambush Canyon and followed our cairns. These markers took us back to the faint and eroded "road" that we had followed in the opposite direction yesterday. Our eventual destination today was a geocache above the old Bagdad-Chase Mine. Along the way, though, we would take a side road that climbed to the highlight of the day. What did we find? You guys know the drill! Lace up those hiking boots. We're going to climb to a lofty jewel in the hills above the site of old Stedman.
