The upside down table contraption visible at the bottom of the mill is a very distinctive item.  It's a concentration table and is used to capture anything that's missed by the amalgamation process.  It's usually mounted at a slight tilt and is gently shaken by mechanical power.  Gold, being heavy, is trapped in the riffles or serrated material on the table top while the worthless rock, being lighter, simply washes right off the table.
