The Golden Cycle group includes the Great Gold Belt, the Castle Mine and Camp Castle. We've stopped here at the spot where in 1907 two 275' shafts, only 60' apart and connected at the 100' level, were sunk to access the narrow veins of gold in the granitic rock. The trailer and the new headframe indicate that some reworking of this old site is taking place.
