After leaving the fossil site, we've continued east on Highway 260 to join Forest Road 300. We're looking for the trailhead for a short hike to Gentry Canyon where, in a small, Ponderosa pine shaded clearing, the graves of three cowboys, victims of the bloody Pleasant Valley Wars of 1888, are located.
