Only a few of the drainages that descend from the Opal Mountain mesas to the floor of Black Canyon are passable. We hope that this is the one that was heavily used in prehistoric times. The last time we were in this area we explored one that ended in a sheer drop. This one already looks better than that one! We've just passed some very old and weathered petroglyphs and are now on the hunt for more that are reputed to adorn the walls of the migratory route.
