Finally, just as we're about to give up, we spot a fragment of what looks very much like a Pinto point.  These points are thick and triangular in shape , with notched shoulders and a broad stem.  The Pinto hunters attached the points to wooden spear shafts and used an atlatl to launch them.  This one appears to have fractured along the right side from a bit below the tip all the way to the base.  Still, it's a nice find.
