In spots we find that although the pipes are missing we can follow the rock outlines of where they once were. Finally all traces disappear. We figure that the pipes were salvaged. We also realize that it's gotten pretty late and a lot colder. After a stop to check out the maps we figure that the pipes are headed directly toward Cornfield Spring. It's still a couple of miles away so it's a good thing that the pipes ended!
