Research is fun, but it doesn't always produce the desired results. We've set out with high hopes on dawn to dusk hikes deep into wilderness areas only to come limping back to camp with nothing to show for it but a couple of blisters. Today will not be one of those days. Tucked away in small canyons that empty into the vast Pinto Basin of Joshua Tree National Park are obscure remnants of mining camps that time, and everyone else, has forgotten. Join us as we search for two of these remote sites. So, shoulder those daypacks; put fresh batteries in the radios; we're off on an adventure!
