Jamie finds an old claim marker in a cardboard mortar tube. It attests to the fact that the required yearly maintenance had been done to keep the claim valid. Of course this predates the inclusion of this area in the Old Woman Mountains Wilderness Area and the claim is no longer valid since all mining has now ended.
