Goffs and the Leiser Ray Mine

Things get confusing here. There are two mills: the one that you can see here and another just over the small hill behind this mill.  One is from the earlier time period just after the Exchequer era when the mine was purchased by the Leiser Ray Company and the other is from a few years later, around 1911, when the Louisiana -California Mining Company took over ownership.  At this time a new and larger mill was installed to keep up with the ore being brought up from the 900' deep shaft and the 6,000' of underground workings.  That mill also did custom milling for nearby smaller mines.  So, which is which?  We don't know!  Let's just take a look at both and you can decide for yourself!
