Howard checks out a chunk of rock that he's picked up. We don't know what it is but we all stuff several pieces in our packs.
UPDATE: Howard believes that it's an intrusive orbicular diorite. He goes on to explain that the orbs are < 2 cm across and are composed of mafic rich mineral (Mg + Fe) hornblende which is mostly altered to secondary chlorite, in a white feldspar matrix. Most of the other colors appear to be from secondary staining by iron oxide.
